Mister Blue

I have a particular interest with automatons and the possibilities associated with merging the natural with “automata”.  Mister Blue is a small (and fun) tongue-in-cheek study of mechanical complexity within an otherwise ordinary object lending a perfect opportunity for the imagination to fire up!

We have here a beautiful vivid blue octopus, using colours taken from actual reference photographs with internal mechanically-operated elements and a small number of Easter eggs to be found at your leisure.  Good luck with those 🙂

As with all of my work I have attempted to create something to pique the imagination, focusing on minutiae leaving the viewer to create their own story.
