Sales Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions, together with any related documents referred to within, set out the terms under which goods are sold by us through this website, www.guychapman.co.uk (“Our Site”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. You will be required to accept these Terms and Conditions before making a purchase. If you do not agree, you will not be able to place an order through Our Site. These Terms and Conditions, as well as all associated contracts, are in the English language.

  1. Definitions and Interpretation
  • “Contract”: A contract for the purchase and sale of goods, as explained in Clause 8.
  • “Order Confirmation”: Our acceptance and confirmation of your order.
  • “Goods”: The items sold by us through Our Site.
  • “Order”: Your request to purchase goods from Our Site.

  2. Access to and Use of Our Site
    Access to Our Site is free of charge. It is your responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to access Our Site. Our Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or withdraw Our Site without prior notice and accept no liability if it becomes unavailable for any period. Use of Our Site is subject to our Website Terms of Use. Please review them carefully.

  3. Age Restrictions
    You must be at least 16 years old to purchase goods through Our Site and have the authority to use the chosen payment method.

  4. Business Customers
    These Terms and Conditions apply to private consumers only. For business purchases, please contact us directly.

  5. International Customers
    We welcome orders from outside the UK, but additional postage and customs costs may apply. Please contact us directly for details before placing an order. Import duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your local customs authorities regarding applicable charges. Goods may be inspected on arrival, and UK consumer protection laws may not apply outside the UK.

  6. Goods, Pricing, and Availability
    We strive to ensure that all descriptions and images of goods accurately represent the products. However, images are for illustrative purposes only, and slight variations in colour may occur due to display settings or lighting conditions. Stock levels are not guaranteed on Our Site. Prices are reviewed regularly and may change. However, any order placed will be charged at the price confirmed at checkout. 

  7. Copyright and Intellectual Property
    All artwork and content on this site are owned by Guy Chapman and are protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Copyright lasts for 70 years following the end of the calendar year in which the artist dies. Restricted acts include copying the work, renting, lending, or distributing copies, publicly performing, broadcasting, or displaying the work, and adapting the work. You may not reproduce, alter, or commercially exploit any work without express written permission from Guy Chapman.

  8. Orders and Contracts
    Placing an order through Our Site does not create a contract. An order is only confirmed when you receive an Order Confirmation email. If an order cannot be fulfilled, any payment taken will be refunded within 14 days.

  9. Payment and Delivery
    Payment must be made in advance via PayPal or BACS. Delivery within the UK and will occur within 30 calendar days unless otherwise agreed. Ownership of goods passes to you upon full payment. However, copyright remains with Guy Chapman. Artwork is posted in a card-backed A4 envelope or, if larger, a robust cardboard tube.

  10. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
    You have a legal right to return goods that are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose. Contact us within 30 calendar days for a replacement or refund.

  11. Cancelling and Returning Goods
    Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK customers have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel orders and return goods. Contact us to arrange a return. Return postage costs are your responsibility unless goods are faulty or incorrect.

  12. Liability
    We are only responsible for foreseeable losses caused by our breach or negligence. We are not liable for business losses, indirect damages, or delays caused by factors outside our control (e.g. strikes, natural disasters).

  13. Feedback and Complaints
    We value your feedback. If you wish to raise a complaint, please contact us via the details on Our contact page.

  14. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
    We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in the law or our business practices. Any updates will be posted on this page, and your continued use of Our Site will signify acceptance.
